BIG Dreams Start With small Budgets.

Can you remember when you were little, and you dreamt of being something big in life or doing something great? You had no idea if your dreams were impossible or if they were impossibly expensive. Your child-like faith and innocents caused you to believe that you could do anything and be anything. That was the beginning of you realizing what God always knew.....that you have a purpose in life.

You were not created to simply build revenue for someone else's business. You were not even made to live out the expectations and expected dreams of your parents. Although our caregivers, under healthy circumstances, are the conduits that help to keep us on the right path to accomplish our callings. You were not placed on this journey empty handed. When God formed you, He imparted gifts and talents to you. Depending on your chosen path in life, will determine if whether or not you will discover what you are truly in this world to do.

Let's say, you have figured it out. You have prayed about it. You have fasted. You have sought wise counsel. You know what you are passionate about. You know where your talents lie. Next, comes charting out a plan. You find yourself whisked away by excitement, simply seeing your vision go from an idea in your mind, onto paper. Your spirit is encouraged and your soul is elated. The more you write, the more zealous you become. As you crunch the numbers and add up the expenses of your dream, you realize it is far beyond your budget. Little by little, your smile becomes somber, and doubt creeps in like an unforecasted storm cloud. It is at that very moment, where a majority of people tuck those dreams away, and carry on with every day, predictable living.

There is one important factor........maybe a few, that we have to keep in mind. Jesus dwells in our child-like faith. He is the one that gave you those dreams that, to the secular human, seem impossible. Without faith, it is impossible to please Him. God does not give us small dreams. He intentionally makes them big, so that our faith and trust in Him, will be dependent on His hand, to make them happen. It is true; that faith without works is dead. When we do all that we humanly can, that is an outward display before God, that we expect Him to do the rest; to open doors that we cannot open on our own. He wants us to expect Him. His word cannot return to Him void.

::Scripture Break::

  1. Matthew 18:1-5

  2. Matthew 19:14

  3. Psalm 37:4

  4. Jeremiah 29:11-13

  5. Matthew 6:33

Through mustard seed faith, our spiritual eyes become opened. We begin to see possibilities. In fact, rock bottom and desperation are doors that God made. He is on the other side of those doors, knocking....waiting for us to answer. When we let Him in, He enables us to see the resources that we already have, to start walking and living in our callings.

You do not have to have thousands of dollars in seed money to start what you have been born to do. Work with what you have. When you are faithful with a little, God will give you increase. If all you have is $20 to spend, then work with that $20. If you have no extra financial assets to utilize, jot down every outlet that is free to you. Although we are conditioned to understand that this world is one big competition amongst one another; The Bible says:

Proverb 18:16 "A man's gift maketh room for him and bringeth him before great men."

That scripture is referring to men and women. Do not allow circumstances to decide your life for you. When God gives you a dream, He will provide.
